I have installed backbox Linux 3.09. I have updated my operating system to latest updates with all the hardware components configured properly. but when I boot or reboot my computer, after logging the user , it takes long time for me to get the desktop nearly 3 mins. It really irritates me when I have an urgent work. This issue is created only after my first update. So, please give me a solution for this.

Hi,
if you give us the apt log for your first update maybe we can try to track the issue...
Please post (on pastebin) only the section of /var/log/apt/history.log relative to that upgrade, not the whole file.

Bye.

Hi,
The same problem. I thought that the reason is I choose to encrypt my home directory during installation process and now it needs time to decrypt it everytime I boot.
