Yes i think a guide would be nice to have for new users like myself. I also thing after installing backbox what you should do next guide. Something like updating your OS and installing other software, customizing desktop and other thing for users.

Just a thought.
WiFi security and pentesters training.  Great Forum For n00bs and advance users.

I would love to give a hand with this since I am new to working with info sec it would be good to get into this by writing documentation (Which I am apparently good at.) So if we form an official wiki team count me in :)

Hi guys,

I have created a PDF of the wiki site from backbox tools usage. Its a little disorganised but all there plus a few misc ones too.

Let me know what you think and advise of any improvements to the PDF.

Hi Russell,

You might want to consider putting it anywhere, other than 4shared.

;)

What's wrong with 4shared? Personally I'm interested, thought it was a good idea at the time as can't find where to upload on the forum. Apologies if I have offended anyone.

Ello, i am new here. i am in the middle of making a video of how to add a gns3 network to virtual machines in vmplayer and how to get the network config option in vmplayer that is found in workstation so that you can create your own net adapters. Do you want me to post it in the video section?

Only issue at moment, nmap kills gns3 connections and gns3 is working on a fix. but other thatn that its a pretty cool setup. It gives you practice for cisco and pen testing.

oh and i have never used backbox but i hope it is what im looking for. I need a community that helps me rather than thinks they are above everyone else and that our opinion or question does not matter.

thanks

Hi LT72884,

Welcome and share what you think is good, but we have only one rule, share something you have done with BBox.

Have fun and happy hacking.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

Hi Russel,
I quote Monkeyjim, try to upload your pdf on a different place please! I can't download it, only read it!
Then I have few suggestions, anonymouse mode started from menu doesn't need firefox configuration and the chapter about sudo without psw should have a big advertising that that configuration  in that way is very dangerous . In my opinion is totaly wrong by all point of view, specialy if you use bbox as your primary os, but everyone has a different way to keep OS secure! That's all, sorry if I bored you with this stuff ;)
